Date and Time Localization and Formatting

a NucleusCRM Tutorial by TvD last updated 2021/07/02

Date and time are displayed on NucleusCRM in your current local time. There are two formats, International and American Traditional. This tutorial outlines the differences between the formats and shows you how to change them.

Formats

The following two formats are currently supported in NucleuCRM:

International ISO 8601 (YYYY/MM/DD HH:MM)
The ISO 8601 standard defines an internationally recognized format for representing dates and times. The ISO 8601 standard is also known as ANSI INCITS 30-1997 (R2008) or NIST FIPS PUB 4-2 in the United States. The international format is the commonly recommended format for representing date and time.

Example: 2020/12/30 15:30

American Traditional (MM/DD/YY HH:MM am)
This format is commonly used in the United States and begins with the month and ends with the year. Time is displayed in a 12 hour format with the addition of am (ante meridiem meaning 'before midday') or pm (post meridiem meaning 'after midday') to specify which part of the day. This format is set as default for users located in the United States.

Example: 12/30/2020 3:30 pm
